Leigh Ann KeelsLMTDirector

Leigh Ann Keels, with more than 20 years professional and administrative experience, is owner and director of Augusta school of Massage, Inc. she attended Clemson university, in Pre-Physical therapy, and the South Carolina Massage therapy Institute in Columbia, SC. She continued her training in Neuromuscular Therapy and Orthopedic & Pain Management along with Structural Integration. Leigh Ann is a nationally certified massage therapist and specializes in medical massage therapy for injury and pain management. Leigh Ann is also the owner of Tuscany - A Classic Italian Spa, located at 608 Ponder Place Drive, Evans, Georgia. Tuscany is a luxurious spa and a place of relaxation and calming balance - where old world charm and impeccable service work in harmony to relax the senses. It’s a place where mind, body, and soul unite in holistic health and well-being

Matt Keels, Administrator, LMT

Matt Keels, who is co-owner of Augusta school of Massage and Tuscany, A Classic Italian Spa, has a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University, as well as certification in Massage Therapy from Augusta School of Massage, Inc. He has over 10 years experience in equipment purchases, project management, software implementations, and general business practices. With Matt’s business education and training, he is well qualified to oversee the day-to-day operation of the school.

Randi Jones, LMT, Director of Education

Randi holds a B.S.E.D. in exercise and sport science from the University of Georgia and a certificate in Massage Therapy from Augusta School of Massage. As the Director of Education, she has many responsibilities such as overseeing admissions, advising students and other duties that will ensure that our school will continue to grow and improve. When she is not busy with her obligations at the school, Randi is also employed as a therapist at Tuscany - A Classic Italian Spa.

 

Laura Beth Bargainnier LMT, Financial Aid Administrator

Laura Beth has an Associate of science degree from Young Harris College and a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia College & State University in exercise science. After college, Laura Beth graduated from the Augusta School of Massage. She is currently employed at Tuscany, A Classic Italian spa as a massage therapist. Because of her experience with massage school and as a practicing massage therapist, Laura Beth is ideally suited to assisting potential students as they seek financing to further their education. Her primary role is to assist students in determining their eligibility for federal student aid, help students to complete the federal student aid application (FAFSA) and administering the Financial Student Aid Program.

 

Allison McGill, LMT, Admissions Advisor

Allison is a graduate of Augusta School of Massage. Her primary role is to inspire prospective students to follow their dream of becoming a licensed massage therapist. When she is not encouraging others to live their dream, she is employed as a therapist herself at Tuscany - A Classic Italian Spa

Jean Kernaghan, Assistant to the Director

Jean Kernaghan was a legal secretary/legal assistant/paralegal for 25 years before joining us. She has been with the school since 2001, almost from the beginning. She has served in various positions at Augusta school of Massage, including secretary, Director of financial Aid, and Administrator.

 

Stephen W. Gaston, Instructor

Steve Gaston has a Bachelor's of Art degree from Wabash College and a Master's degree from Emory University. He retired from the emergency room of the Medical College of Georgia. He has over 20 years of experience teaching CPR/First Aid. He has taught anatomy and Physiology in a Paramedic Technology Program at Columbus Technical College and is presently teaching anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, clinical pathology and CPR/ First Aid.

Chuck Lubeck, NCTMB, LMT, Instructor

Chuck Lubeck is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Therapeutic Massage and is the owner of Augusta Orthopedic Massage, llc. He holds advanced certifications in Orthopedic Massage, Medical Massage, Myofascial Release, Active Isolated Stretching and Soft Tissue Release Technique, all of which he teaches here at the school. James Waslaski, one of the school’s elite educators, and prominent educator Stuart Taws utilize Chuck’s abilities as their teaching assistant.

Geraldine Jones-Jackson, NCTBM, LMT, Instructor

Geraldine Jones-Jackson graduated from Savannah State College with a B.S. degree in Biology. She is also one of the first graduates of Augusta School of Massage and is employed by Tuscany - A Classic Italian Spa. Geraldine is also a graduate of Augusta Technical School and is a licensed nail technician. She instructs in Swedish massage, sanitation, medical terminology, hydrotherapy, spa treatments, and other modalities.

Dee Strong, LMT, Instructor

Dee is a graduate of Aiken Technical College and worked as a nurse at the Medical College of Georgia for 12 years. In 2004, she decided she wanted to make a career change and graduated from Augusta School of Massage. Dee is employed at Tuscany - A Classic Italian Spa as a licensed massage therapist and at Augusta School of Massage as an instructor. Some of the classes Dee teaches are chair massage, prenatal, hot stone, and many review classes.

 

Caroline Kendrick, LMT, Instructor

After attending Georgia Southern University for 3 years, Caroline received a Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Augusta Technical College. She also holds a Certificate of Massage Therapy from Augusta School of Massage. She is employed by both Tuscany, A Classic Italian Spa, as a massage therapist and Augusta School of Massage, as an instructor. Caroline teaches Swedish and many of our massage review classes. Currently, she is studying to become a Registered Nurse at Midlands Technical College.

 

 

 

Ashly Jordon, LMT, Instructor

Originally from a small town in Washington State, Ashly moved to Augusta in 2004 and graduated from Augusta School of Massage in 2008. She is employed by both Tuscany, A Classic Italian Spa, as a massage therapist, and August School of Massage, as an instructor. Not only does Ashly assist with many of our Allied Modalities classes, but she also, teaches Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and massage review classes.
